The Spalding Hospice Foundation was established after an Open Meeting in the Parish Church in 2002 to raise funds with the sole object of supporting hospice beds and palliative care for adults and young people with life threatening illnesses in Spalding and the surrounding area. The aim was to provide a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team o improve the quality of life for patients with a life threatening illness in a friendly and relaxed environment.

All monies raised, donations and bequests received are paid directly into a bank account and are used solely to support the hospice beds and palliative care services required by the Tulip Suite. No administration fees or any other charges are made by the Spalding Hospice Committee. The work of the Committee is voluntary to maximize the amount of monies available to be spent on the ongoing upkeep of the new Tulip Suite at the Spalding Johnson Community Hospital.

It was with great pride that we saw all our objectives over the last eight years achieved at the successful opening of The Tulip Suite in February 2010. We would like to thank all those people who have supported our fundraising events and for all the donations and bequests receive. The Spalding Hospice Foundation will continue to give its support to the Tulip Suite to ensure the excellent ongoing palliative care for patients.
